Coordinator ~ Elizabeth (Liz) Holleman

liz

Liz has been married to her husband, Ryan, for 7 years and they have 2 kids. Brynlee is 4 & Rhett is 2.

What do you do to relax? Netflix while the kids nap!

What did you want to be when you grew up? An accountant….and when I was younger I wanted to be a Cardiologist. I spent 1 summer as a candy-striper at the hospital and thought I could be a doctor!

What is your favorite Bible verse and why? John 3:16 For God so love the world that he gave His only son that whosoever believes in Him will have everlasting life. It was my first memorized bible verse and it has always stuck with me.

Career before becoming a mom? I was a Visual Merchandising Manager for Nordstrom

What are some of your favorite books to read to your kids? We read a kids bible every night…one page at a time. A tradition my husband started. Brynlee loves to put the book marker back in its place before it goes on her shelf.

If you could only have one beauty item for a year what would it be? If my hair air dries it’s a biMy name Ashley Sacchieri and my husband Aaron and I have been married for 5 years. We met in Jr. High School but didn’t actually date until sometime in college. We have two crazy and beautiful kids, Jase who is almost 3 and Saige who just turned 1. -To relax, I enjoy a good series on Netflix or even cutting the grass. (It’s almost 3 acres so it’s a nice escape for a little while). -When I grew up I wanted to be a few different things. If you had asked me when I was a little girl, I would have said a gymnastics coach. Which is what I really ended up doing..lol. If you asked me when I was in high school or early college, I would have said an FBI agent specializing in human trafficking. I would still love to do that but it would be too hard with a family. -My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 10:39 “Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” That verse stuck out to me while I was in high school and college. Thats the age you are really trying to figure out how you are going to live and I feel like God showed me that verse just at the right time. -Before I became a mom, I wanted to do event planning. I graduated from Sam Houston State with a focus on event coordinating. Events are usually on the weekends so I decided that would be too difficult with kids. -My son Jase, came out of my room with my bra on. He is 2…haha -I love to read and collect the Little Critter books. They seem to fit my kids perfectly. A big brother who wants to be independent and a little sister who thinks he’s nuts. -If I could only have one beauty item for a year it would have to be dry shampoo. -Since my kids are so young right now, my favorite family activity is just going on long walks.g fro, frizzy, mess so I would have to say a flat iron!

What is your favorite family activity? Jumping on the trampoline together. Or playing race in the backyard. My 4 year old is insanely fast and beats me every time!

Crafts & Creative Activities- Stephanie Jarrell

stephanie

I am Stephanie Jarrell and I have been married to Jeremy Jarrell since July 9, 2011. We have two amazing kids, Eden (4) and Calvin (who will be 2 on July 25). Jeremy and I met in high school, but did not end up together until many years later. Our story has taught me so much about God’s will and timing 😉 Besides being a mommy, I have an at home sewing business (focused on baby bedding/items and children’s clothing) and I will be teaching at Longbranch PDO in the fall.

What do you do to relax?

Take a bath/shower or play Candy Crush.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Broadway actress/dancer
What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
2 Timothy 1:7 This verse was given to me by my Memaw when I was young and terrified of storms. She told me it helped her whenever she was scared, and it worked for me too as I overcame my fear of storms and now I go to that verse to overcome fear/anxiety.
Career before becoming a mom?
I was a high school teacher for 11 years (I was the theater director at Midlothian HS, but also taught English at Palmer HS, and Waxahachie HS during my career…oh and a short one year stint as a volleyball, basketball, and softball coach at Palmer)
What is the funniest thing your child has ever done or said?
Calvin doesn’t talk much yet and spends most of his time glued to me, but Eden is constantly cracking me up. Most recently she told me she wanted doughnuts and when I told her we didn’t have any, but asked if she wanted me to go buy some, she said “I don’t want you to go in those clothes”…nothing like fashion shaming from a 4 year old
What are some of your favorite books to read to your kids?
I’m saving the good ones for when they pay more attention. For now, we read whatever they feel like grabbing at the moment – usually Mickey Mouse or Daniel Tiger books. I never latched on to children’s books really, but I look forward to introducing them to the classics (Dickens, Austen, Shakespeare) when they are older.
If you could only have one beauty item for a year what would it be?
Maybelline Great Lash mascara
What is your favorite family activity?
Family dance parties in the living room in the evenings. We play music videos and dance our hearts out.

What do you do to relax?
I love dr Phil and coffee during nap time

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I waned to be a lawyer because I absolutely always had the last word and loved winning arguments against my three sisters. I was the master at closing the deal on what movie we chose to rent

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
I love Corinthians 13:13
three things will last forever–faith, hope, and love–and the greatest of these is love.
It’s a comforting verse and reminds me about what’s truly important at the end of the day. My three daughters middle names were to be faith, hope and love… #3 ended up a boy so Lawrence it was.. At least it still starts with L

Career before becoming a mom?
I was a correctional officer while completing my degree in criminal justice. I became a lieutenant and had plans on joining the police academy when I found out we were expecting Evelyn.

What is the funniest thing your child has ever done or said?
After nearly running out of gas we were late to a birthday party because I had to stop and fill up.
When the young man I didn’t know asked little Evelyn how she was Evelyn replied that we are ok but mommy had gas so we were late….

What are some of your favorite books to read to your kids?
I love the little critter series, I still have most of mine from when I was little

If you could only have one beauty item for a year what would it be?
Foundation with sunscreen in it, we redheads can’t go bare faced, we’re kinda like vampires

What is your favorite family activity?
We love Sunday lunch together and evenings with Daddy. A movie and popcorn all together is a big hit around here.
